K R Harish joined Tawseel in May 2007 as Distribution Manger. He currently oversees the running of then Tawseel field team involved in the execution of subscription deliveries, spanning from dispatch staff, up to area managers.
It is his main goal to ensure customers are completely satisfied with the level of service his team provides. In his managerial role, Harish believes it is important to be a good listener and he follows an open door policy with all of his staff.
Since taking on this new role, Harish helped streamline the circulation department at Tawseel which means he helped setting up of proper distribution network / channels, exploring the untapped area.
Harish brought over twenty three years of experience in media distribution to the Tawseel table when he joined in 2007. Originally from Calicut, Kerala, India, Harish graduated from the University of Calicut with a degree in Economics, in 1984.
Newly qualified, Harish relocated to the UAE the same year to embark on his professional career in media distribution. Joined Gulf News (Al Nisr Publishing), as Area Sales Officer and worked until 1989.
When Gulf News started their operation in the Sultanate of Oman, Harish moved to Oman in 1990 to take care of the Gulf News Circulation in the Sultanate. In 1992 he moved to M/s United Media Services SAOC one of the leading distribution company in the Sultanate of Oman, a division of Renaissance Holding Company SAOG, in the capacity of Distribution Manager.
After six years working in the UAE, he moved to Sultanate of Oman in 1990A and worked for 10 years, before returning to the familiar shores on Dubai. Since his return, Harish worked as circulation manager in Motivate Publishing – one of the leading publishing company in Dubai who market a list of up market magazines & Arabian Heritage books for a period of 6 years before joining Tawseel as the Distribution Manager in 2007.
He considers Dubai as his second home and revels in the city’s never-ending development.
“It’s rich and vibrant market,” he says, “and this place will always hold a special appeal because this is where I started my working life.”
Somewhat of a personal-development enthusiast, when out of the office, you’ll often find Harish with his nose buried in motivational books. He also has a passion for current affairs, and ensures he’s always up-to-date with the latest coming off the wires. He also has a keen interested for movies and classical music. A multi-lingual man, Harish speaks several Indian languages, including Tamil and Hindi.
