A computer whizz with a flair for developing software, Khaled was born in Cairo and graduated from the Administration and IT Institute of Cairo with a Diploma in Administration and Computer Science in 1989.
His first job was with a Cairo-based imports and exports company as a Database Administrator and after two years in that role he moved to Saudi Arabia to take up the position of Marketing Manager with Al Watania Distribution Company, one of the leading companies in the industry.
In 1996, Khaled came to Dubai and, based on his experience, was contacted by the Al Bayan Circulation Manager and offered the job of Circulation MIS Manager. He spent nine years there before moving to Tawseel in 2005.
Today, Khaled is the Administration and Retail Sales Manager for Tawseel, which means he’s responsible for the complete retail distribution operations process, developing sales opportunities, handling accounts with Arabic Publishers and managing the fleet of vehicles, warehouses and stores.
On first joining Tawseel, he developed its Retail Distribution System with the help of the IT Department and was responsible for the Data Entry operators and following up daily operations
After so many years in Dubai, Khaled now considers it home. “This beautiful country is the land of opportunities,” he says. Away from the office he likes to swim, listen to music, play volleyball and handball, and go on long drives.
